My Science Fiction

My family will tell you I’m a curious sort. What’s over that hill? is my favourite type of direction. What’s under this rock? can't be resisted. (I get grubby faster than a toddler.) And always ... why do living things act as they do?

Above all else, you see, I’m fascinated by life. It's the reason my science fiction explores biological ideas and issues, from immortality to communication, from migration to evolution, and imagines how different intelligent species might handle being in the same waiting room or eat ice cream. I can't help myself.

Somehow, it's like going over a hill or lifting a rock. I wonder what I'll discover. I get goosebumps. Best of all, what I find may lead me where I hadn't thought to go.
